I’m an independent author who was born in Sydney, Australia. True story. I was actually born in the Women’s Hospital on Crown Street, Sydney. It opened in 1893 and closed in 1983.
I enjoy reading, writing, and, above all, I enjoy people. That’s what I write about, people. I love talking and listening, so my writing has a lot of conversations. I think that conversations are important. Sometimes the message gets lost when you talk too much, but I hope you hear what I’m trying to say.
My work? Well, I’m not a full time author. I’m an amateur who writes at night while others are sleeping. I have a full time job in a niche area of justice, where I’ve worked since 2005. I’d love to be a full time author.
My stuff? I have a university degree that no longer exists, and I’m almost complete on a Masters no one needs. I have children, I have imperfections, I have a history of cancer, but no criminal history, and I have a good sense of humour.
My writing? The Ruthless Beings series and Ruthless Beings World novels are about people, about being judged, about suffering in silence, about abuse on all levels; about love and sex and family and commitment and not having to follow the rules all the time. It’s about seeing things differently, and about wanting simple things, and about how enriching those simple things can be. If I ever say I’m tempted to write romance or erotica, I’m joking. All of my books have sex and love anyway, and I have so much to say about life.
I hope you enjoy my random thoughts here on my blog, and I hope you enjoy reading my imperfect books about imperfect people living imperfect lives.
